Microsoft Asia-Pacific recently announced its 2014-2015 class of educational innovators with 23 Microsoft Showcase Schools and Microsoft Innovative Educator 173 (MIE) experts from 10 countries in the region. Direct from countries such as Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, the APAC group form almost one-fifth of the 830 teachers and 150 schools, which are recognized as the best educational innovators from around the world.

The Showcase Schools were organized during a ceremony as part of the Education Policy Exchange, an event organized by Microsoft partners with Intel and the British Council at Stamford American International School and Education recognized by government officials, senior education leaders and development partners participated. Almost 22 percent of the MIE experts from around the world are of APAC, while about 15 percent of the Showcase Schools also come from the region around the world.

This APAC Microsoft Showcase Schools and Innovative Educator experts are leading the transformation of learning environments and provides more personalized education for students, said Beth Watson, Director of Education, Public Sector and Microsoft Asia-Pacific.We hope to continue celebrating innovation and rethink the teaching, learning and assessment so that young people in the Asia-Pacific is empowered to do more and achieve more. Microsoft Showcase Schools are selected throughout the school and the implementation of this vision for transforming their local schools for a strong vision for educational change through effective implementation of Microsoft technology.
