Hello to all. Today I would like to give the story behind the Microsoft Exam 70-417, upgrade their skills to Windows Server 2012 MCSA.

This mega test (actually three events in one, more in a moment) serves as an update for Windows administrators who currently have one of the following titles from Microsoft:

• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA): Windows Server 2008
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Virtualization Manager to Windows Server 2008 R2
• MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2010
• MCITP: Server Administrator Lync 2010
• MCITP: SharePoint 2010 Administrator
• MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator in Windows 7

If you pass the exam 70-417, it has become a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) on Windows Server 2012. Do not be confused by the name -the Server 2012 MCSA MCSA is completely separate entities from Windows Server 2008 MCSA.
As I mentioned in this blog, the 70-417 is a composite exam consisting of three testlets free standing, but related. Testlets These, in turn, contain the following certification exams material of Windows Server 2012:

Exam 70-410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
• Exam 70-411: Managing Windows Server 2012
• Exam 70-412: Configuring Windows 2012 Advanced Server Services

The testlets are time individually, but are forced to take one after the other without a prolonged interruption in the middle. Getting a general pass / fail marking the end of the third testlet. As can be seen from the titles of the examination, the content varies from 70 to 417 install server installation and troubleshooting of Windows 2012. You will notice a strong emphasis towards PowerShell v3 in these tests. Therefore, you want to make sure you are fluent in PowerShell before sitting for the exam 417.

Microsoft seems to have a problem (in my humble opinion, anyway) by adding unnecessary complexity to their portfolio of IT certification. At this point, you pass exam 70-417 qualifies as MCSA on Windows Server 2012; However, there are two other credentials that the highest rate in the "scale prestigious Microsoft" than the MCSA:

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Desktop Infrastructure
• server infrastructure MCSE

To update your Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2012 MCSE MCITP Desktop Infrastructure, you must pass the following tests, and 70 to 417:

• 70-415: Implementing a desktop infrastructure
• 70-416: implementations of desktop applications running

To get your MCITP Server 2008 in the Windows Server 2012 MCSE on server infrastructure, it must pass these exams, plus 70-417:

• 70-413: design and implementation of server infrastructure
• 70-414: implementation of an Advanced Server

CBT Nuggets my colleagues Don Jones, Greg Shields, James and Conrad and I have all the exams of Windows Server 2012 are covered for you certification. In particular, I am currently completing a training course in the examination of 70 to 417. You're in good hands with us.

Happy studying! If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to leave it in the comments of this post. Alternatively,
